Keeping your shoes in their boxes is highly recommended. Not only are the boxes collectables in and of themselves, but they help with categorizing and easy identification. You're not a soccer mom, don't put your shoes in tupperware containers with polaroids of them on the outside. If you're a head, then you know what they look like just by the name/colorway on the outside, no matter how obscure the colors used are.
